Dialectical Behavior Training
DBT - Steps A is a tier 1 middle and high school curriculum that is based on the skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which has been shown to be effective with high-risk adults and adolescents engaging in suicidal and non-suicidal self-injury behavior. Help your school move further upstream by learning and practicing activities that will enhance students’ social-emotional skills, reduce suicide risk and enhance protective factors. Attendance of all 3 days is necessary for content assimilation/skills practice.
Program goals include:
· Learning coping strategies to deal with problems, especially under emotional distress
· Developing better decision-making skills
· Practicing awareness and emotion regulation skills
